The Usagawa Bridge is one of 3 high spans along the 4-lane E2A Expressway in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Several design styles were put forth before a concrete asymmetrical arch was chosen. The main arch of 200 meters consists of a 3-cell box 17.8 meters wide that supports a deck 21.9 meters wide.
