The Taihong Yangtze River Bridge is the fourth longest span across the Yangtze to be located upstream of the 3 Gorges Dam. Completed in 2020, the 808 meter suspension span is 1,436 meters long with a span configuration of 4x40 +808 +2x120 +7x30 meters. The most unusual design element of the bridge is the use of a cantilevered double beam span of 120+120 meters on the north end. This is was previously used on the nearby Fuling Qingcaobei Yangtze and Fuma Yangtze Bridges that are also in Chongqing Province.
