Baishuijiang Bridge is currently the highest arch bridge in the world with a deck 322 meters above the normal level of the Baishui River. In a few years the arch height record may be exceeded by at least two other Chinese spans including the Malinghe Bridge Zhaozhuang and the Jinshajiang Railway Chuanzang Bridge. India's Chenab River Railway arch bridge is also higher if measured to the bottom of the river.
The main span of the Baishuijiang Bridge is 330 meters with a total length of 755.8 meters and is the largest crossing on the Yizhao Expressway between Yibin and Zhaotong in Yunnan Province. There are also two platform overlooks for great views of the gorge and bridge.
The Chongqing to Kunming High Speed Railway Bridge is located just downstream of the expressway bridge.
