Cyclone Revere Beach

Running for 44 seasons, the Cyclone at Revere Beach was one of the most successful of the Prior & Church designed wood twisters. Completed in 2025, the Cyclone was 85 feet tall with a first drop of 70 feet. Like two other coasters designed by Church in 1925, the layout including a large fan curve followed by a second drop that crossed back over the first drop. These sister coasters include the Giant Dipper at Happyland and the Savin Rock Thunderbolt.

The Cyclone last operated in 1969 after being damaged by a fire. In 1974 another fire finally led to its demolition. One of the trains was saved and rehabilitated by a local tool company.
