Wadi Dib before the reservoir was filled

Completed in 1999, the Wadi Dib (95 meters high) is a 2-lane cable stayed bridge that was constructed to cross a large artificial lake that would eventually form beneath it from the completion of the Beni Haroune dam just north of Anouche Ali. Designed by Mario Paolo Petrangeli of Italy, the 3-span layout includes a central span of 919 feet (280 mtrs) and two side spans of 364 feet (111 mtrs). The H-frame towers support a prestressed concrete deck 44 feet (13.3 mtrs) wide.
