The hiking route includes the 300 meter long Alla Luna Footbridge as well as the shorter 93 meter long Petracca (Prova) Footbridge that is approximately 30 meters high.  At the south end of the Alla Luna span there is a glass viewing platform.

The "Bridge of the Moon" theme celebrates Italian rocket engineer Rocco Petrone who worked on the famous Saturn 5 rocket that sent many American astronauts to the moon.

The hiking route includes the 300 meter long Alla Luna Footbridge as well as the shorter 93 meter long Petracca (Prova) Footbridge that is approximately 30 meters high. At the south end of the Alla Luna span there is also a Sky Walk glass viewing platform.

Rocco Petrone graduated from MIT in Massachusetts and went on to design rockets in Huntsville, Alabama before moving on to work in Florida at the giant Vehicle Assembly Building where he became the director of launch operations guiding many Apollo moon missions. He was also involved with the famous Apollo-Soyuz orbit meeting as well as becoming the director of the Marshall Space Flight Center.
