(328) feet high / (100) meters high
(394) foot span / (120) meter span
2006

Located in Chongqing just across the border from Guizhou Province, the Anwen Bridge is the northernmost high bridge along the G75 expressway that connects Chongqing city with Guiyang city.

The Anwen River travels through a deep concrete trough exactly 100 meters below the deck level. Sometime after it was completed, unknown problems with the underside of the concrete beam were significant enough that bridge engineers had steel plates added to the main box beam for added strength.
