The Bayang bridge is one of the largest concrete beam spans on the new highway between Yichang and Wanxian that skirts through the mountains on the north side of the Yangtze River near the city of Wanxian. Measuring 591 feet (180 mtrs) between the centerline of the piers, the hefty central span is flanked by two side spans of 328 feet (100 mtrs). Bayang Bridges Number 1 (left) and Number 2 (right) are separated by a small hillside.
