Daninghe Railway Bridge
巫山大宁河双线大桥
Wushan, Chongqing
(575) feet high / (175) meters high
(984) foot span / (300) meter span
2022

The Zhengzhou to Chongqing high speed railway line will have several spectacular river crossings along a heavily tunneled route along the mountains north of the famous 3 Gorges region of Hubei and Chongqing Provinces.

The Shennongxi railway crossing will parallel the older G42 expressway bridge on a 260 meter beam span strengthened with a through arch. The deck of the bridge will be approximately 135 meters above the surface of the reservoir and 185 meters above the original level of the now hidden Shennongxi stream.

Other big bridges will include a possible arch over the Meixi River, a 168 meter beam span over the Pengxi River and other large beam crossings over the Daning, Tangxi, Zhuyuan and Xingshan Rivers.
