The tallest and highest crossing on the Basque Y high speed railway in Northern Spain, the Deba River Railway Bridge is another one of Spain's many spectacular railway viaducts. The "Y" route may finally open in 2020 connecting the 3 large cities of Bibao, San Sebastian and Vistoria-Gasteiz.

Designed by IDEAM, the 900 meter long structure has a span configuration of 50+80+70+60+3x65+70+3x65+45 meters on piers as tall as 86 meters. The longest span of 80 meters crosses the AP-1 motorway while the highest span is 70 meters. The concrete box girder reaches a depth of about 6 meters over the piers and was constructed using a movable traveler.
