The Duifanghe beam bridge is part of an upgrade to the older S228 highway that stretches along the banks of the famous Nujiang River in Western China. The bridge is on the first part of the highway between Liuku and Bingzhongluo near the western border of China and Burma.

The tallest pier is 105 meters and supports a span configuration of 4x31 +100+180+100 +3x31 meters.
