Furongzhen Bridge
芙蓉镇特大桥
Gaopingxiang, Hunan, China
459 feet high / 140 meters high
755 foot span / 230 meter span
2016

The largest beam bridge on the north-south Longshan-Yongshun-Jishou expressway, the Furongzhen bridge has piers as tall as 112 meters supporting one of Hunan's longest beam spans ever at 230 meters. The 4-lane route is loaded with at least 10 beam bridges that exceed 100 meters in height making it one of Hunan's more impressive mountain highways.

The "star" of the route, however, is the 268 meter span Mengdonghe arch bridge located several kilometers north of the Furongzhen Bridge.
