When it is completed, the Hongxi Bridge will become the highest bridge in eastern China with a deck almost 200 meters high. Zhejiang and Fujian Provinces are home to most of eastern China's highest spans. The tallest pier will be 150 meters supporting three equal sized spans of an unknown length. The crossing is part of an expressway that will connect Wencheng and Taishun cities.
