The tallest and longest span bridge ever built across China's famous Yellow River (Huanghe), the Zhunngeer Bridge is also one of the highest with a deck 120 meters above the river. Part of a new expressway between Junggar and points east, the bridge parallels an older 2-lane bridge that has become obsolete for the increasing traffic in the region.

The bridge has a large central cable stayed span configuration of 160+440+160 meters supported by a tower 228.5 meters tall. The entire bridge stretches 1,277 meters in length.
