Huangshui Dafengbao Glass Viewing Platform
黄水大风堡玻璃廊桥
Huangshuizhen, Chongqing, China
(131) feet high / (40) meters high
(98) foot span / (30) meter span
2012

Although not as high as some of China's other cantilevered viewing platforms, the Huangshui Dafengbao Glass overlook is one of the more well designed structures with a split opening towards the end and lots of glass panels to walk over along its entire length. Below the walkway deck is a fairly typical series of tubular truss supports whose red paint contrasts nicely with the lush forest scenery.

The canyon is not particularly deep or steep compared to many other gorges in the region but the easy access from Chongqing and the G50 expressway made it a financially promising location.
