Located several miles north of the great Jinshajiang River gorge, the towering Jinyanghe Bridge allows locals to get across the Jinyang River gorge bypassing a series of steep switchbacks through the local town of Jinyang.

The towering Jinyanghe Bridge structure is special for having the tallest pier in China at 195 meters, tying the Hezhang Bridge in Guizhou Province. Among all bridge piers in the world, only Mexico's San Marcos Bridge and the Millau Viaduct in France are taller. The 757.7 meter long 2-lane bridge has a span configuration of 19.38+3x22+106+2x200+115+40 meters.
