The highest of about half a dozen big beam bridges on the Tonghuang expressway, the Juhe Bridge has among the tallest piers in all of Shaanxi Province at 140.5 meters. The span arrangement is 4x30 +85+160x3+85 +5x40 meters.

The new expressway is located approximately 20 kilometers west of the G65 expressway and parallels the older expressway from northern Xian all the way to Huangling. The Juhe crossing is located just 2 kilometers south of the Taoqupo dam and reservoir.
