The New Visp is a concrete arch bridge similar in size and style to the original 1930 arch that was too narrow and inadequate to handle current traffic needs. Designed by Switzerland’s great bridge engineer A. Sarrasin, the older bridge was bypassed but left up for pedestrian use only.
