One of the more unusual glass overlooks to be built in China, the Langyashan platform is a round structure perched at the end of a 3-sided karst plateau flanked by vertical cliffs. The circular platform rests on 8 steel poles that transfer the load down to a quad-shaped concrete foundation. Steel wires form needed X-bracing between the steel poles. In total there are 20 glass panels on the outside of the platform with more in the center, highlighted by a large red star.

The Langyashan Glass Viewing Platform may remind some of the similar Shilinxia Glass Viewing Platform near Beijing.
