With more then a dozen beam bridges over 100 meters high on the 100 kilometer stretch of the G76 expressway east of Guiyang city, most people would have a hard time remembering which ones are which. Lost within that group is the towering Laoshan Bridge which rises above a deep creek on piers 113 meters tall.

The G76 expressway extends from the Pacific Coast city of Xiamen to the western China city of Chengdu 1,426 miles (2,295 kms) away. Just a few kilometers west of Laoshan Bridge is the towering Houzihe beam bridge which rises 220 meters above a deep gorge.
