Luolu Bridge
落炉大桥
Renhuai, Guizhou, China
541 feet high / 165 meters high
328 foot span / 100 meter span
2003

Loulu Bridge is one of the hidden gems of Guizhou Province. Lost in the mountains of Renhuai County, the small 100 meter truss-arch crosses a deep crevasse with vertical cliffs dropping nearly the full height of the gorge.

Just a few meters away is a similarly spectacular footbridge that hangs approximately 150 meters above the river. Pedestrians with a fear of heights might not want to venture across the narrow, Tibet-style suspension span with old wood planks that look like they might give way at any moment.
