Mukogawa Bridge
武庫川橋
Sanda, Hyogo, Japan
(262) feet high / (80) meters high
328 foot span / 100 meter span
2016

Mukogawa Bridge is one of Japan's most innovative bridge spans. The 442 meter long extradosed bridge structure is supported by 4 pre-cast circular piers that support a deck consisting of butterfly web panels. Above the deck each of the 8.5 meter tall tower masts supports 10 cable stays that are connected to a 100mm thick steel plate.

Just to the east along the Shin Meishin expressway is the Kawashimogawa T-beam bridge with a central pier 95 meters tall.
