2019

With a height of 295 meters, the Lianghekou Dam is on schedule to become the third highest earth fill dam in the world after the Shuangjiangkou Dam in China and the Nurek Dam in Tajikistan. Among all dams in the world it will rank 5th. The large collection of high bridges required to cross this deep Sichuan reservoir will be second only to the 3 Gorges reservoir in Hubei Province.

The Murong Bridge is the second highest of several huge beam spans that will cross the deep reservoir.

The tallest pier on the Lianghekou Dam Bridge will be an impressive 172 meters supporting a 628 meter long bridge with a span configuration of 3x13+40+ 120+220+120 +2x40 meters.

Other giant beam bridges that will cross the reservoir with main spans of 190 to 200 meters include Lianghekou Dam Bridge, Xiatuo, Hagedagou, Zatuo and Hongding Bridges.
