The highest bridge in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, the Nijino bridge is a 2-hinged steel box beam arch. Constructed in 1985, the 2-lane bridge has a central span of 656 feet (200 mtrs).

The Miyagase Dam was completed in 2000 creating a lake below the Nijino Bridge that reduced the height considerably. A large beam and arch bridge also cross 2 arms of the lake as well as a giant suspension footbridge with a main span of approximately 315 meters.
