With so much attention focused on the many high bridges in western China, it is nice to finally be able show the highest bridge in the eastern half of the country.  Rising 466 feet (142 mtrs) is Tianchi bridge, the second highest concrete arch in China.  The 673 foot (205 mtr) main span is also one of the world’s longer concrete arch spans.  Tianchi may also be known as the Xingduicha bridge.

With so much attention focused on the many high bridges in western China, it is nice to finally be able show one of the highest bridges in the eastern half of the country, the Tianchi bridge. With a length of 673 feet (205 mtr), the span is one of two large concrete arch bridges along the newly improved S303 highway in Fujian Province. The nearby Xingduicha arch is also 673 feet (205 mtrs) long known to be 466 feet (142 mtrs) high. The height of Tianchi Bridge is unknown so I have them listed next to eachother. The two spans look nearly identical though Tianchi has 18 spandrel openings while Xingduicha has only 13. Nearby Lingdou bridge is yet a third concrete arch but with a shorter span of just 525 feet (160 meters).

在把注意力集中在中国西部如此多的高桥之后,终于能够展示一座中国东半部的最高的桥梁了。高达142米的天池大桥,是中国第二高度的混凝土拱桥。205米的主跨也是世界最长混凝土拱桥之一。
