Warm Springs Creek Bridge
Warm Springs Creek Bridge
Healdsburg, California, United States
355 feet high / 108 meters high
752 foot span / 229 meter span
1978
Despite having one of the largest cantilever spans in the United States at 752 feet (229 mtrs), few bridge fans are aware of the giant Warm Springs Creek bridge across Lake Sonoma about 75 miles (121 kms) north of San Francisco. Created from the completion of the Warm Springs Dam across Dry Creek in 1983, the 9 mile (14.5 km) long lake has become popular for boaters and campers. To allow access on the west side of the lake, the bridge was built across the deep arm of Warm Springs Creek. With drought being a rarity in this region of California, it is unlikely anyone will ever see the true height of this jolly gold giant.
