Built to assist in the construction of the massive Goupitan Dam, this 2-lane prestressed beam bridge is just one of nearly a dozen high bridges that cross the mighty Wujiang River. No other river on earth has a greater collection of high bridges except for the Beipanjiang. The Wujiang is a tributary of the Yangtze River.

The Goupitan Dam is one of the tallest in China with a height of 232.5 meters. The dam became operational in 2009 and was completed in 2011.
