Built to assist in the construction of the massive Goupitan Dam, this 2-lane prestressed beam bridge is just one of nearly a dozen high bridges that cross the mighty Wujiang River. No other river on earth has a greater collection of high bridges except for the Beipanjiang. The Wujiang is a tributary of the Yangtze River.

The single lane suspension bridge has a large main span of approximately 270 meters.
