With 4 big beam spans of 558 feet (170 mtrs), the Laozhuanghe Viaduct is one of the highest in Shaanxi province. The terrain rises and drops midway beneath the structure making the 3rd pier more than 100 feet (30 mtrs) shorter than the 2nd and 4th piers.
