One of the largest concrete arch railway bridges ever built, the gargantuan Yelang River Bridge is the highest crossing on the 347 kilometer double track high speed railway line between Guiyang and Chongqing cities. The central span of 370 meters is larger then any concrete railway arch outside of China except for the Almonte Railway Bridge in Spain. In China only the Beipanjiang Bridge Qinglong and Nanpanjiang Bridge Qiubei have longer railway arches.

The 1,117 meter long structure has approach spans of 5x32 and 16x32 meters. The tallest pier columns within the arch are 60.7 meters.
