Replaced in 1982 with a steel arch bridge, the original single lane Yun Lung Suspension bridge crossed this V-shaped gorge before becoming obsolete. Constructed with just one tower, the main cables terminated into the rock walls on the opposite end of the bridge where the road went straight into a short, right turning tunnel. The original bridge was 328 feet (100 mtrs) above the gorge while the new span is 318 feet (97 mtrs) high. The main arch is 355 feet (108 mtrs) long.
