Zhengtong Bridge
政通桥
Fengjie, Chongqing, China
(295) feet high / (90) meters high
492 foot span / 150 meter span
2001

Zhengtong Bridge opened in 2001 across a deep gully that cuts through the center of the hillside Fengjie City. Several years later the city planners decided to fill in the canyon allowing the construction of a mall, parking area and access roads. This reduced the height of the concrete arch from around 90 meters to only 40 meters.
