A major waterway in Sichuan Province, the Dadu River runs through an especially deep gorge in the mountains west of Chengdu.  The Shenxigou through arch bridge is a concrete filled steel tube span with a length of 630 feet (192 mtrs)During construction, tieback cables were anchored directly into the cliffs on either side of the canyon, eliminating the need for any high line towers.

The highest bridge on the 56 kilometer spur expressway that links Tongren with Yuping and the G60 in Guizhou, the curving Zongqihe Viaduct is made of a multi-pier army that supports 26 spans of 40 meters across a "W" and "V" shaped river valley. The two parallel bridges measure 1044.521 and 1055.538 meters in length. The tallest pier is 90 meters.
