Beishan Bridge satellite image.  The aerial map makers continue their pointless rule of bending the path of every bridge to make it safe from aerial targeting.  A ridiculous rule in an age of accurate print maps and high tech surveillance.

Beishan Bridge
北山大桥
Beishanzhen, Zhejiang, China
(410) feet high / (125) meters high
558 foot span / 170 meter span
2009

Built to cross a deep reservoir in China’s Zhejiang Province, the Beishan bridge was still under construction when the rising waters of the reservoir drowned the towering piers under hundreds of feet of water. The 3 main spans measure 558 feet / 170 mtrs.

用来跨越中国浙江省境内的一座水库的北山特大桥,当水库的水位将高高的桥墩淹没到水面下数百英尺时,该桥仍然在建设中。3个主跨都为170米。
