Aikou Bridge is one of several large beam crossings on the north-south Longshan-Yongshun-Jishou expressway with a span configuration of 2x30 +65 +2x120 +65 +11x30 meters on piers as tall as 86 meters. The nearby Longbizui Bridge is the largest and highest of the beam spans along the route.

The Aikou Bridge crosses the Liangcha River and can easily be seen from a local road just off of the older 2-lane S229 road.
