With a height of 295 meters, the Lianghekou Dam is on schedule to become the third highest earth dam in the world after the Shuangjiangkou Dam in China and the Nurek Dam in Tajikistan. The tallest pier on the Lianghekou Dam Bridge will be an impressive 172 meters supporting a 628 meter long bridge with a span configuration of 3x13+40+ 120+220+120 +2x40 meters.

Other giant beam bridges that will cross the reservoir with spans of 190 to 200 meters include Murong, Xiatuo, Hagedagou, Zatuo and Hongding Bridges.
