The Chinese will often extend the name of their biggest bridges with ‘Extra Large’ or ‘Grand’. In the case of the Lizigou Extra Large Bridge, the structure lives up to the hype. The bridge measures 3,386 feet (1,032 mtrs) long with 3 main spans of 420 feet (128 mtrs). The bridge is one of two massive structures on the new 560 mile (900 km) Neijiang-Kunming Railway line. The other is the Huatupo Extra Large Bridge with circular shaped piers instead of rectangular as on Lizigou.
