The highest bridge in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, the Nijino bridge is a 2-hinged steel box beam arch. Constructed in 1985, the 2-lane bridge has a central span of 656 feet (200 mtrs). Just to the south is the 99 meter high Yamabikoo Bridge.

The Miyagase Dam was completed in 2000 creating a lake below the Nijino Bridge that reduced the height considerably. Between these two lake crossings is the tourist Mizunogodaitsuri Footbridge with a giant main span of 315 meters.
