Syansu is the sister bridge to Piplaldal that was constructed across the huge new reservoir created by India’s highest dam, the Tehri. Syansu crosses the Bhagirathi River arm of the lake. The bridge deck is approximately 30 meters above the full reservoir surface which is approximately 107 meters above the original river level at the bridge crossing.
