Aizigou Bridge is one of several big beam crossings on the 2-lane access road that was built from Hulukouzhen to the Baihetan Dam. One of the tallest concrete dams in the world at 277 meters, Baihetan created a lake over 200 kilometers long on the Jinshajiang River. Baihetan will also be the 2nd largest power generating station in the world.
In 2012 a huge slide along Aizigou creek wiped out a Baihetan Dam worker campsite, killing 42 people.
Just a kilometer upstream across the Aizi creek is the Baihetan Bridge that opened in 2024 on the G4216 Expressway Ningnan section with a main span of 100 meters.
