Changwan Lishui Railway Bridge is one of 5 high beam bridges on the Qianjiang-Zhangjiajie-Changde Railway that runs 340 kilometers between Qianjiang, Chongqing and Changde, Hunan with the famous Zhangjiajie city and National Park in the middle. Other bridges include the Apengjiang, Qianjiang, Geleche and Lishui Nanyuan Railway Bridges.

23 kilometers of the line are in Chongqing Province, 56 kilometers in Hubei Province and 261 kilometers in Hunan Province. Bridges and tunnels make up 79 percent of the line.

The Changwan Lishui Railway Bridge is a not often seen single tower 369 meter long extradosed span with an asymmetrical span configuration of 172+158 meters.
