One of the tallest and highest cable stayed bridges in the world, the Gongshuihe crossing is also one of the most beautiful. Originally known as the Zhongjianhe Bridge during construction, the deep blue truss deck rises almost 260 meters above a shallow reservoir between a forested valley of green in the remote mountains of southern Hubei Province on the G6911 Expressway.

The two main towers are among the thirty tallest bridge structures on earth rising 245 meters from foundation to top - even taller then the Golden Gate Bridge. There are 64 pairs of cable stays with a diameter of 7 mm. The longest measures 222 meters and weighs 15 tons. The span configuration is 3x30 +46+134+400+134+46 +5x40 meters with the three center spans composed of an N-shaped truss with a depth of 6 meters and a full width of 27 meters.

The bridge is located midway between Enshi, Hubei and Yongshun, Hunan.
