Pipeline Bungy Bridge
Queenstown, New Zealand
240 feet high / 73 meters high
(525) foot span / (160) meter span
????

New Zealand’s highest span is a narrow suspension footbridge that was converted into a tourist attraction in 1994 called Pipeline Bungy. The name comes from the bridge’s original use as a gold-sluicing water pipeline bridge. The main span is approximately 525 feet (160 mtrs) long.

The Queenstown region could easily be called the Bungee jumping capital of the world. In addition to the Pipeline bungy bridge there is the famous Kawaru bridge, home of the first commercial bridge jump in the world 141 feet (43 mtrs) above the Kawaru River.

Situated over the Nevis River is the Nevis Highwire Bungy or Nevis Arc where a gondola transports you 440 feet (134 mtrs) above the water for the highest bungee or swing jump in New Zealand. Right in Queenstown there is also the Ledge Bungy and the Ledge Swing on a mountain slope platform overlooking the city. You can see all of them here: http://www.bungy.co.nz/index.php/ps_pagename/our_sites.
