Recco Bridge is one of several giant beam bridges along the coastal E80 route that traverses along the Mediterranean border of Italy.
The 560 meter long structure has piers as tall as 75 meters that cross over a section of the small mountain town of Recco. In 2019 and 2020 a rehabilitation of the viaduct took place after many years of neglect. The local members of the Parish church of S. Rocco were often nervous about chunks of concrete that would fall from the piers and spans high above the church.
Like many of Italy's large viaducts from the 1960s, Recco has piers with wide hammerhead tops that support shorter drop-in spans.
