Salinello Viaduct
Viadotto Salinello
Giulianova, Abruzzo, Italy
361 feet high / 110 meters high
(148) foot span / 45 meter span
1973
Another monstrous Italian viaduct, the Viadotto Salinello offers nearly a mile of cruising across a wide valley overlooking the Adriatic Sea near Giulianova. More than 30 towers - most nearly 100 meters in height - give the viaduct a scale and mass rarely seen in bridge construction.
