Serra Cazzola Bridge
Viadotto Serra Cazzola
Canicattì, Agrigento, Italy
(236) feet high / (72) meters high
394 foot span / 120 meter span
2014

Italy's newest high level bridge crossing opened in 2014 near the town of Canicattì in Sicily.

Stretching a kilometer in length, the steel beam structure has multiple spans of 55, 70, 90 and 120 meters supported on piers as tall as 58 meters. The 4-lane steel box deck is 26.5 meters wide.

The new viaduct bypasses an older section of route SS640 that descended into the valley.
