Volturno Bridge
Viadotto Volturno
Cerro al Volturno, Molise, Italy
(230) feet high / (70) meters high
(289) foot span / (88) meter span
1991

Volturno Bridge is one of the few high Italian Bridges to be constructed in the 1990s. Despite its construction some 30 years after the many great beam bridges of the early 1960s Autostradas, the Volturno Bridge retains the Italian tradition of having independent belly spans suspended between cantilevered pier tops.

The Volturno Bridge overlooks the Cerro al Volturno castle as the start of the SS652.
