Xiaoguanshuiku Bridge
小关水库大桥
Guiyang, Guizhou, China
380 feet high / 116 meters high
525 foot span / 160 meter span
2003
Located within Guiyang city in the mountainous Guizhou province, the Xiaoguanshuiku Viaduct is the first of what would eventually be 4 major high beam bridges across the Qianling valley in central Guiyang City. There are great views of the bridge from a road that goes directly under the highest span as well as from a steep trail of steps on a hill next to the east side of the bridge. A sidewalk on the north side also affords beautiful views of the Xiaoguan reservoir created from a small dam beneath the bridge.
The Qianling Bridge opened in 2010 followed by Pianpo Bridge in 2012 and then the Qianlinghu Bridge in 2016. A lower level metro line bridge was also completed in 2012.
The main span configuration of Xiaoguanshuiku is 69 +125 +160 +160 +112 meters with approach spans of 40 meters and a total length of 1,043.3 meters.
The span configuration of nearby Qianling Bridge 黔灵大桥 is 110+ 2× 190+ 110 meters with piers 59 and 41 meters tall.
