The Atamachi Bridge is a beam span that was originally constructed in anticipation of a reservoir that was going to submerge the Kawabe River valley below the bridge. The dam was eventually scrapped leaving several high bridges including the nearby Ohae Itsukimura Bungy Bridge.
Bungy Japan offers bungy jumping from many high bridges in Japan including Shintabisoko, Ryujin, Sarugakyo, Fuji Sudokeikoku, Minakami, Kaiun and Yamba Bridges.
