A beautiful red arch bridge located about 2 hours west of Tokyo, the Mameyaki soars 491 feet (149.6 mtrs) across a mountain gully on two steel box beam ribs. Like many arch bridges in Japan, Mameyaki is asymmetrical with one side of the arch terminating into the foundation 29.5 feet (9 mtrs) higher than the other side.
